Spontaneous!

Hey, we were "spontaneous" this past weekend which really is a big deal for two planners. We got up early Friday morning (3:33 am to be exact) and left at 4 for Ellensburg. Layth found out Wednesday evening that his whole group of High School buddies were descending on the town for the weekend - several of them for a wedding reception - and it had been years since they were all together, so we decided to go. Of course, JoAnn was ecstatic - she got to spend time with her grandson. We came back late Saturday night because Layth teaches Sunday School. It was a nice weekend except that I was sick the whole time but... grandma was there to play with Soren and as a result I got to rest which was wonderful.
Now this week... it's my first week of "summer". Campus Ministry stuff is over for another summer. We ended well with my women's Bible Study coming over for dessert and Bible Study at my house last Thursday night. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with myself with so much time on my hands. To be honest, I'm a little afraid. Any ideas what I can/should do to fill up the time?
I'm also "husbandless" this week. This is the week that Layth has his big international HP conference in Portland that he is in charge of. I just got done making name tags for everyone. (I was his assistant for this contract and besides making name tags, and finding the location for the event, I formatted 22 powerpoint presentations and a 600 page word document! I really don't think I'm cut out for an office job, especially when there's no one else to converse with in the office!). So, he's up there for the week and Soren and I are just hanging out here at the house.
That's about it really. I just realized it had been a while since I'd posted and thought I'd add something.
Oh ya, here's a cool "God thing". Our little church (about 100 people) had our special offering today to raise money for our land/building fund (we meet in a school right now). Pastor set the goal for $40,000 which is quite a bit of money for our little ol' Turning Point Community Church. But... not only did we reach the goal we surpassed it by over $2,000! There was quite a celebration at the end of the service. It was a lot of fun.
That's about it, I'm going to go bury myself in a book!
