I've been compiling this list now for a couple of months, so some of these are from several weeks ago but... here is a list of things I have leared NOT to do with a toddler living in the house (they've all been learned the hard way!). Please ask if you need clarification about WHY these things should not be done. I've got some good stories.
If a toddler lives in your home do NOT:
Put kleenex boxes on low lying end tables, coffee tables, side tables, desks or sinks.
Leave the dishwasher door open and down at any time of the day, especially if there are dirty dishes in it.
Fail to close the cupboard door tight enough that the safety latch catches - especially if the cupboard contains opened cereal boxes
Set a full carton of eggs near the edge of the counter!
Leave the paper shredder (full of shredded paper) sitting on the ground
Fail to immediately empty the bucket of cold ashes and coals taken from the cold fireplace!
Leave a pen, pencil, marker or crayon anywhere - anytime!
Leave boxes of tampons or pads in an open place (I've got pictures of this one!)
Leave the toilet seat up - anytime!
Unless you are quite fond of backwash, do not, I repeat DO NOT share your drink with a toddler.
And, something I've learned TO do: (again, the hard way!)
While working on the computer, save your file every 30 seconds or so if the toddler is not confined to his/her crib for naptime or bedtime. Otherwise, the results can be disastrous.
Does anyone have other advice?

Do not leave the toilet seat up, and do not leave the toilet plunger out when said toddler is teething. Do not turn your back when toddler is learning to use a spoon with his oatmeal. Those are a couple that come to mind.
