Soren's 3rd Birthday

Soren had a kind-of party on Sunday night at the park. There is a group of us that get together every Sunday night at the park and so I brought a cake and ice cream bars in honor of his birthday last week. Soren really enjoyed his special occasion and still talks about it.

Soren opening gifts. He had lots of help from the other kids!

Here is the Drum Cake I made for him. He was very excited about his "drum happy birthday cake".

It was a windy night at the park so his candles wouldn't stay lit for even a few seconds. Still, he did pretend to blow them out and there wasn't nearly as much spit on the cake had there been if he'd had to really blow them out!

His "Big Present". Benton joined right in with the unveiling process.

Looks like the "big kids" enjoyed the gift as much (or more!) than the 3 year old! It kept them entertained for quite a while.
