We spent a several days in Dixon and then a few days in Milwaukee and had a wonderful time all around. In Dixon (where my relatives live, both sides) we spent a lot of time with family, both immediate and extended.
We stayed in a hotel for a couple of nights and here is Soren and Layth enjoying the fantastic recreational pools they had complete with water slide. (thanks again, dad!). My brother Ken brought his family at least twice a day and all the kids enjoyed a nice reprieve from the humid weather in the pool.
This is Keiton and Kate (my little brother Ken's youngest). They are just under two weeks apart in age. Kate is longer than Keiton, but Keiton definitely weighs more. They spent a lot of time together on a blanket.... totally unaware of each other. They were photographed quite a bit by
everyone, too. Two very cute kids! (not that I'm biased!)
We had a big family get-together on my mom's side one evening for dinner. It was nice to see everyone. Here we are with my grandparents. My grandpa has recently taken a turn for the worse, so it was really great to see him and get to spend some time with both he and my grandma. They are special people in my life.
I'm not sure if this is a picture of Kendall (my niece), or a picture of "Lion" - the stuffed animal the NEVER leaves her side! Her and Soren made quite the pair. They got along great and both have lots of spunk and energy.
