THE LIST OF NAMES I GET TO CHOOSE FROM

I was inspired by my sister in law who asked for help with names for their baby girl (due 10 days after I).

A few weeks ago I received an email from Layth (yes, that's my husband and that's how we communicate sometimes. His office is all the way downstairs, you know!) with a list of potential names for our new little guy. They were all "T" names because as I found out later, the name HAS to begin with a "T" because it's the only thing that goes with Layth, Betsy and Soren. So, I read the list (pasted for you below) and was quite alarmed, honestly. And then a couple of days later while responding to some friends who asked if we had decided on a name yet Layth replies "well, I sent Betsy the list of names that she gets to choose from the other day"... hmmm, the list of names that I GET TO CHOOSE FROM? I wasn't aware that our son's fate was in the hands of this list until that point. Let me know what you think... are you ready?

Talen (with a long "a" sound)
Tallis
Tempest
Taron
Tarik
Tarrant
Taven
Tavian
Terrick
Timur
Timon
Trae
Tyrus

I like Tyrus and Timon, if I only have to choose from "the list." My prayers are with you.

I like Talen and Tyrus. Still pondering a couple others. I am curious to hear how you (or Layth) discovered that only a "T" name would go with Layth, Betsy, Soren, and ?. Did you apply this theory when choosing Soren? Just curious. I may need to think about using this theory myself.

Tempest? Um, doesn't that mean "storm"? You might consider "Tom".
That's a nice "T" name.

I think the only one I don't like is Timur. Sounds too much like Lemur. Beautiful creature, the Lemur, but you may get a kid who has those craaaazy eyes.

Also, they could shorten it to Tim, then nobody would know it's a cool name (sorry to all those Tims out there). The rest of the list is really good, though. You should be about due, eh?
