One of the highlights was a group of us that floated about 7 miles of the Yakima River on Friday afternoon. In 104 degree heat, the best place to be was on that river for sure. Anything touching the water basically became numb within a few minutes, but it was sure was a great way to cool off. And it worked!
Saturday was the big event of the reunion. A dinner. Here is a not-very-good picture of Layth and I at the reunion. He didn't bring a camera... but he did have his phone, so it's taken from his phone and pretty dark. Someone commented "have you seen Layth Rowles? He's HOT now!" Yup... I had to agree.

A couple of weeks ago we had a great weekend camping with a big group over on the Oregon Coast. I'm awaiting pictures from a friend and will hopefully get them soon so I can post them. We dug for clams - I didn't have very much luck -and then made homemade clam chowder and we hiked and ate, and ate, and ate some more and made Tonka Toasters (they were a BIG hit!) and just had a great time together. Our new tent treated us very well.
That's about all. This next weekend we head up to Olympia for a little High School "Reunion" of my own. The group I hung out with is getting together for the weekend. I'm looking forward to it and it should be fun.
