My high school friend Andrea was very generous and offered us a place to stay in her new flat in Prague. It was a beautiful place and extremely comfortable. It was nice to have a "home" instead of a hotel to come home to at night. She stocked it very well with lots of chocolate as well so I especially enjoyed my time there!
Andrea was a great tour guide - the first day we got there she went with us and gave us all kinds of great pointers on where to go, how to get there, what to avoid and where to eat. It was wonderful. The first day we explored Wenceslas Square and had a fabulous lunch at a little local restaurant. We also attended a great concert in the National Museum that evening. Very Prague-like, I thought. The next few days we toured Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral and other places. We hike up a long hill to Petrin Park and enjoyed fabulous views of the city. We ate and ate and ate lots and lots of good food. And, we shopped! Layth gave me some money to find something for our home and with my personality I had to view all my options before making a decision. One evening we enjoyed a long 3-hour meal and some authentic Czech food with Andrea seated at a restaurant right on Old Town Square. It was a great evening. The last day we took a boat ride and enjoyed a different view of the city.
And, all too soon (except that fact that I got to see Soren!) our trip came to an end. We left early, early Sunday morning and had an incident free travel home.
Here are some pictures of Prague

This is Layth and I in St Vitus Cathedral. It was pretty amazing.
