Soren's Five Questions

It was time for the boys to sleep by the time we left Portland for home the other night, but before Soren fell asleep he asked us if we could answer five questions for him. He had been thinking about them and had them stored up in his mind. We'd answer one and he'd say, "OK, number three is..." and then go on to ask his next question like he had them written down in front of him and could read them off. By question three I was so intrigued by his questions that I grabbed a notepad and wrote down the questions as he asked them. Here they are, in order and exactly as he asked them.

Question #1. How do you make light?

Question #2. How does a bridge stay up?

Question #3. How do your lungs get air?

Question #4. Why does gas make your car go?

Question #5. What does it look like in the inside of your ear?

It took a while to answer the questions... but after we were done he was obviously satisfied because within minutes he was sound asleep in his car-seat.

Love that kid. Love that mind. Wonder where it'll take him...
