I Just Finished 10 Miles...

Running, that is! I'm on my way to the 1/2 marathon in just a few weeks. I have one more long run in two weeks - 12 miles - and then two weeks after that (the 13th) it's Half Marathon Day in Leavenworth.

I ran the 10 miles in just under a 9 1/2 minute mile pace which I think is great considering that fact that I had a baby via c-section less than 5 months ago, I still have about 15 pounds of babyweight that needs to come off, and, I was up with a 3 year old that had a nightmare ("the sand kept getting my legs") for an hour somewhere in the middle of the night last night. My goal is to just be able to finish the 1/2 marathon, but my "dream" goal is to do it in 10 minute miles or less. The registration form says that the course is not one you'll probably PR on... I would guess it has something to do with the TWO MILE Ascent at one point during the run.

In other news - we get to go look for a new dishwasher this evening. It's turning out to be a mighty fine day.

Hey Betsy! Way to go on the running! I was having second thoughts about my triathlon, but I actually did it! It was last weekend up here in Kirkland, WA. It was pretty amazing, especially at the finish line! :) You will do great! I am very excited for you! Happy training, and I can't wait to see your finish line photo. :) Blessings! -Kara H.
