The "Final Name" update and Pictures!

Well, I don't think Taelen is going to work now... I've heard of too many girls with that name (spelled different, but still the same pronunciation). And, I want a strong male name. So, it's back to the drawing board - with only 11 days to go. Who knows... I sure don't!

Soren and I spent two days at the coast with my mom this past week and had a wonderful time. The weather, although cold, was sunny and the room we had featured floor to ceiling windows/slider right on the ocean at Cannon Beach overlooking Haystack Rock. Honestly, I really didn't want to come home! (except that Layth was here which is a pretty big incentive!).

Only 11 days to delivery. I'm huge, uncomfortable, and can't wait. But enough about that. I'll survive.

Pictures... finally!

A family picture taken about a month ago. One of our last ones that will be taken before the new baby arrives and there are 4 people in the picture!

Here is Soren and his friend Nika reading a book together. Every Sunday night several couples/families get together and Nika and Soren (as well as Benton, Christian and now Karis, Nathaniel and soon, our new baby) are regular kids there.

One of Soren's very favorite pasttimes these days. Throwing rocks in the river. Here he is with his friend Benton (who, as of today at 1:11 is a Big Brother to Nathaniel! Congratulations, Lunde family!).

My dad flew into town a few weeks ago and we spent several busy days in downtown Seattle sightseeing and enjoying his company. Here is dad and his two girls in downtown Seattle along the waterfront.

Shhh, don't tell daddy I'm wearing a cowboy hat. He might think I've converted and listen to country music now!

We spent a day at the Seattle Center while "Grandpa Ralph" was here and this was by far Soren's favorite room... the Toddler Music Room. Here, he discovers the marimba and below, what could be better? A wall FULL of all shapes and sizes of "cymbals" (bowls, lids, etc) to bang on. Notice Soren's enthusiasm as he plays.

And, a couple of months ago, Lori and Steve called and invited us to join them at the beach for the weekend. So, we did. One of Soren's favorite things to do - feed the seagulls!

While we were there, there was a pretty big storm. The photo below looks blurry, not because I'm moving the camera, but because of the sand blowing. It was pretty amazing. Soren didn't much enjoy the beach during the storm.
