General Update

We just spent a fabulous 3 days at the coast with Vance, Alicia and baby Karis. We did all the coast things... walked on the boardwalk, played in the sand and took walks on the beach, stayed up late playing cards, ate lots of great food including Zinger's Homemade icecream!, shopped... I wasn't ready to come home. But, here I am amidst piles of laundry, a sink full of dishes, dirty bathrooms and a house that desperately needs to be vacuumed. Who has time for any of that though when you have a newborn (who likes to eat every 2 1/2 hours all night long) and a very active 2 1/2 year old who wants his share of attention with a new little brother in the house? That's life these days.

Here are a couple of pictures of Keiton... from a couple of weeks ago. Eventually, I'll get caught up!

These pictures are recent... and they say it all - I am a woman blessed beyond words.

These were taken Sunday morning in our backyard before church. Sunday was also Keiton's dedication at church.

Layth has been working on the yard. I'd say "we've" been working on the yard, but really, it's been all him. And Soren, of course. He's generally right out there with daddy working too. Here are the first round of results. Layth did ALL the brickwork (not really shown, now that I'm looking at the picture) and the pergola is a design that he came up with himself and then he and his dad put it all together. I am very pleased with the results so far and can hardly wait to get the rest of the yard up to the standard that has been set so far. The other pictures are the view from our porch swing one evening while I sat out on it enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Glad to see that Layth is getting a nap at least.

Besty I heard you talking to Erna about your blog on Sunday so I thought I would track you down. :)
I have one too but I don't keep up with it very well. Fun to see all of your pictures.
Have a great holiday weekend.
